Congratulations on being admitted to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and becoming a new Ragin' Cajun! We can't wait to personally welcome you to campus, but there are several steps that you should take to ensure a smooth transition to life as a UL Lafayette student.
The University requires anyone coming from CDC Warning Level 3 countries or those who know that they potentially have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 to self-quarantine for fourteen (14) days before returning to campus. If a student develops symptoms potentially related to COVID-19 at any point, regardless of whether or not the student has traveled recently, the University requests that students contact their primary care clinicians or Student Health Services. Please click here to access the latest information on the University's safety procedures due to COVID-19.
Students must report if they are COVID-19 positive, if they have been asked to quarantine, or isolate.
First, it's important to secure on or off campus housing prior to your arrival. The University does not offer temporary housing and staying in a hotel while you find housing can be expensive. Also, make sure to bring with you any outstanding documents to finalize your admission (final and official transcripts, marksheets, immunization records, etc.) and all of the necessary clothing, personal items and finances that you will need for your first semester here.
Please carefully review and follow the Next Steps Checklist and Important Pre-Arrival Information before planning to study at the University. If you have any questions about immigration, enrollment or housing, please contact the Office of International Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org or 337.482.6819.
