Congratulations on being admitted to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and becoming a new Ragin' Cajun! We can't wait to personally welcome you to campus, but there are several steps that you should take to ensure a smooth transition to life as a UL Lafayette student.
The Office of International Affairs within the Division of Global Engagement is working with Student Health Services to help ensure the safety of our students. The University requires all students arriving in the U.S. from international travel to complete the Quarantine & Isolation Form, ONCE THEY HAVE ARRIVED IN THE U.S., but not before, and to follow all of the guidelines listed here. Vaccinated students should upload their records to the SHS portal by following the directions here. It is important to note that students arriving from international travel must remain in quarantine until they receive a release from Student Health Services. Please visit Student Health Services' website for more information.
First, it's important to secure on or off campus housing prior to your arrival. The University does not offer temporary housing and staying in a hotel while you find housing can be expensive. Also, make sure to bring with you any outstanding documents to finalize your admission (final and official transcripts, marksheets, immunization records, etc.) and all of the necessary clothing, personal items and finances that you will need for your first semester here.
Please carefully review and follow the Next Steps Checklist and Important Pre-Arrival Information before planning to study at the University. If you have any questions about immigration, enrollment or housing, please contact the Office of International Affairs at email@example.com or 337.482.6819.
