Extracurricular Activities
Students are encouraged to become active members of campus life. There are many student, cultural, academic, sports and social organizations which IEP students are welcome to join. Also, the University sponsors many activities such as plays, films, musical recitals, parties, and much more. You can find out about these activities by viewing the University's calendar and following campus offices on social media.
The Division of Global Engagement hosts regular events during the fall and spring semesters. Everyone, internationals and Americans alike, is invited to attend. These events often include food and drinks, guest speakers, and door prizes.
International Education Week is held annually in November and features many events promoting study in the U.S. The International Student Council also hosts a multicultural week each Spring. This week-long celebration includes the Ms. International Pageant, International Potluck, Soccer tournament, and many more exciting activities for UL students and members of the local community. Various student organizations may also celebrate cultural holidays throughout the year.
In addition, special activities are arranged each IEP session such as potlucks, birthday parties, conversation hours, and other extracurricular activities.
