Pre-Arrival Information

Congratulations on being admitted to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and becoming a new Ragin' Cajun! We can't wait to personally welcome you to campus, but there are several steps that you should take to ensure a smooth transition to life as a UL Lafayette student.

Pre-Arrival Information for new students due to COVID-19

Prior to departure, students should review the CDC's website for federal requirements for entering the U.S.

Housing

First, it's important to secure on or off campus housing prior to your arrival. The University does not offer temporary housing and staying in a hotel while you find housing can be expensive. Also, make sure to bring with you any outstanding documents to finalize your admission (final and official transcripts, marksheets, immunization records, etc.) and all of the necessary clothing, personal items and finances that you will need for your first semester here.Students who live in on-campus residence halls, should review the Office of Housing's COVID-19 Response and Updates page.

Please carefully review and follow the Next Steps Checklist and Important Pre-Arrival Information before planning to study at the University. If you have any questions please contact the Office of International Affairs at oia@louisiana.edu or 337.482.6819.
